The Fast & Fixed procedure is a modern oral rehabilitation technique that allows the insertion of a small number of dental implants (usually 4-6) and the fitting of a fixed prosthesis in just 24 hours.
It is an ideal solution for patients who have no teeth at all, offering them a quick and stable alternative to classic removable dentures.
Fast & Fixed is a surgical protocol patented by the German company Bredent, which was designed to simplify the steps of implant-prosthetic treatment and provide long-term stability.
When is the Fast & Fixed procedure recommended?
This method is intended for patients who:
- Suffer from advanced periodontitis, and their existing teeth are no longer stable;
- Have lost a large number of teeth, and the remaining ones cannot support a fixed restoration;
- Cannot tolerate removable dentures or want a more comfortable and secure alternative;
- Have been wearing removable dentures for a long time, but the bone has atrophied, making the dentures painful or unstable;
- They cannot afford or do not want extensive bone grafting procedures (such as external sinus lift).
Stages of Fast & Fixed treatment
- Consultation, investigations, and personalized treatment plan
Consultation, investigations, and personalized treatment plan
The consultation takes place with a team consisting of a surgeon and a prosthodontist. The situation in the oral cavity is analyzed, treatment alternatives are discussed, and the advantages and limitations of each option are explained.
The necessary investigations are recommended: X-rays, CT scans, digital scans of the jaws and remaining teeth.
A 3D model of the future teeth will be created using specialized software. Based on this information, a treatment plan will be developed.
If the patient has other medical conditions, approval from a specialist may be required, including blood tests, EKG, or blood pressure assessment.
- Surgery + temporary restoration on the same day
Surgical stage
The operation is performed under local anesthesia.
If necessary, tooth extractions are also performed during the same session.
The implants are inserted into the bone, possibly with bone additions and gingival remodeling.
The insertion of 4-6 implants takes an average of 2-3 hours for each arch.

Prosthetics stage – temporary fixed restoration
The same day, the patient receives a temporary fixed restoration, screwed directly into the implants.
This provides immediate functionality and aesthetics, but it is also a testing stage – adjustments can be made until the result is optimal in terms of phonetics, aesthetics, and functionality.

- Final restoration – 5-6 months after surgery
Once the implants have fully integrated into the bone (a process called osseointegration), the temporary restoration will be replaced with the final restoration, i.e., the permanent fixed teeth.
These can be made from various modern materials: composite, porcelain, zirconium, pressed ceramic, CAD-CAM crowns, etc.
Fast & Fixed gives patients their smile back in just 24 hours.
