Digital impression

Digital impression (or intra-oral scanning) is a modern and comfortable method for both the patient and the dentist, involving the use of a small device (comparable to an electric toothbrush or a light curing lamp) that takes a series of photographs of the patient’s oral cavity, which are then transmitted to a computer and arranged in the form of a dental impression. This method replaces the traditional method of taking impressions with spoons and silicone, and is more accurate, more comfortable, and faster.
